British Airways is the largest airline of the United Kingdom and the third largest in Europe. It is popularly known as BA. British Airways flights operate twice daily from Sydney to London, via Singapore or Bangkok with connections across its network to other European destinations such as Frankfurt and Paris. It operates more transatlantic flights from Europe than any other airlines. Its main Hubs are London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports. In 2008, BA moved to capitalize on the liberalization of transatlantic air travel between Europe and the US by launching its new subsidiary OpenSkies, which takes its name from the historic EU-US aviation treaty.
The different classes available in British Airways are:
• BA First Class: First class is only available on long haul flights.
• BA Business Class: Within Europe, the Business Class offered by British Airways is called Club Europe. Business class flights have good in-flight services.
• BA Premium Economy: World Traveller Plus is available on long haul flights
• BA Economy Class: World Traveller and Euro Traveller offer various in-flight services.

Don't you just hate it when you call airline trunk lines?! Apart from forwarding you a gazillion extension numbers, at the end, you normally end up with either a busy tone or an answering machine.

According to the Travel Mole, travel websites are among the worst for online customer service. Customer service "took an average of 58 hours to respond" . Research shows that "Despite the enormous growth in the online channel, across all sectors, our research shows that consumers are still suffering from substandard online service."

Transversal, the team that conducted the research, monitored 10 leading UK travel companies through phone, web and email.

Free Travel Brochures
Some still do their travel research old school style... by reading travel brochures. Not the electronic version, mind you. Instead, these travelers still prefer to leaf through pages and pages full of pictures, description of travel destinations all over the world which would help them decide about their next vacation.

Usually, you can get your hands on travel brochures with just a quick trip to the nearest travel agent. But, if you're too busy, you can actually get those travel brochures sent to you at home... for free.

guardian unlimited offers a free travel brochure service. You can choose brochures based on the holiday type - sports, family, active, etc. - or destination.

Should you have another destination in mind which is not offered by Guardian Unlimited, there are many other sites which offer free brochure services. Shop around for your free travel brochures over at the following sites: HolidayNet, the UK Experience, Travel Quest and All Holiday Brochures, among others.

Whether high tech or old school style, you'll definitely have lots of options to choose from for your next vacation.
